Cordoba-Israel Cooperation
The main purpose of this one-week visit was to seek ways and means of collaborating on topics that could advance industry in Cordoba through initiatives, education, professional training, etc.
Heading the delegation was the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Mining, Mr. Eduardo Axtello.
As part of the visit the delegation spent time at the MOFET Institute, getting acquainted with its unique model, its perceptions and its work methods.
The guests met some senior staff members and were exposed to a number of relevant examples of the Institute’s activities:
- Professional Learning Communities – A Model for Enhancing and Supporting STEM Teachers
- Academic Content Portals – A Tool for Knowledge Sharing MOFET’s portals are dedicated to teaching and to teacher education, but their rationale, platform and working profess can be adopted to any subject matter.
- ‘ALUMOT’ – A Model for Leadership Development
- ‘Prizma’ (prism) – A National Program for Leadership in Digital Learning: Its vision of the future learning experience; Innovative models of learning; Novel teaching and learning regularities currently implemented in Prizma’s associated institutions.
At the conclusion of the visit, Mr. Axtello emphasized that they are interested in working with MOFET on using techno-pedagogics for productive development and added:
“The interest of the Ministry of Industry as well as that of the Ministry of Science and Technology is to continue to advance technical schools and innovative technical centers in Cordoba within industrial parks in order to train and educate young people, future innovators, municipal employees and cities within the region. For this reason, interaction with well-known international institutions such as MOFET is very important to us.”
